it was a torch “thank you !” she exclamed loudly she flicked the stwich nothing happend she put out her handagani sh picked up a battrey she put it in the tourch and flick the switch yet again she saw the steep that had callpesed and another steep that had callaped two steeps well she jumped to avoid falling down the gap one more steep to the floor she turned round and saw green eyes glowing she put the tourch on it “STORM!” she exclamied you were here sam cat storm had gone missing a few weeks ago she had surved on mice “MUM MUM STORM IS ALIVE SHE OK SHE WAS IN THE BASE MENT ALL THE TIME !!!!”  she shouted but at the same time she culled storm the best cat in the world  

sam ran back to the top of the stair case she her the noise again and again then sam started to scream it stoped and so did sam stop screeming “sam are you ok !”yelled her mother “yes i’m fine just a bit of a scare” then she went down to the firsh steep thinking of what it is (a troll ,a demon ,a rat, a murdera )thne she shured she went down two more steeps and stood there creeeeeeeeeek!!! ahahahahahaha!!!! bang!!!the steep had broken but sam jumped tothe next steep down the she hered the noise again but iit was diffrent as if someone was scraching some thing touched her foot ahahahah!!! she put her hand to the side she felt something and picked it up it was a …      

sam was walking past the door but then she heard a noise coming from behiend the door. sam turnd round and opend the door “who is there” then sam heard the noise again it was down the stairs. sam took hold of the banster because she knew the stairs were fallety . she took the first steep then she heard it again … 

Sam hesitated at the top of the stairs, blinking sleepily in the darkness. The blackness below was absolute, there was no light at all. The light switch was out of reach, way back across the landing. There was the noise again. The rest of the house was silent. What was it?
